I am in the streets but here are some entertainment tidbits for ya!
After news broke that Toni Braxton and husband, Keri Lewis were getting a divorce, sources say "Lil Nasty" aka Trey Songz is the reason!!! Remember I told you that Toni and Trey Songz performed together at the 2009 Soul Train recently and the two exchanged a heated kiss while hubby Keri was sitting in the audience. News of the divorce broke what...a week or two later? Anyhoo, neither party have confirmed the reason behind the divorce. When New Yorks media maven Egpyt interviewed Toni Braxton back in September on WBLS NYC, she eluded to problems in her marriage even then. Word is Toni set up the kiss with Trey Songz to get under Keri's skin and hit back at him for his rumored cheating habits. The duo have been married for 8 years and with two boys - Denim and Deizel.
Shaquille and Shaune O'Neal pitched a reality TV show based on their what appeared to be happy family called 'Love Shaq' earlier this year. A&E dropped dime they're still "considering" purchasing the show, despite the news of the couple's split. This is the second split for the couple. Shaq filed for divorce in 2007 when Shaunie accused the basketball star of hiding money from her. We won't even talk about him accusing her of being shady with his cash. But remember he was phone harassing a chic in Atlanta! Too much drama. Stay tuned.
ABC has confirmed that Janet Jackson will be the opening act for this year’s American Music Awards. The awards show will air live from the Nokia Theatre in LA on November 22 at 7:00 PM. Janet will also sit down for her first public interview since Michael's death with Robin Roberts next Wednesday, November 18th.It's been confirmed Janet Jackson and Jermaine are indeed back together…In fact, they never even broke up. JD was just giving her space post her brother’s death.
Mo'Nique has shot down reports of a rift with "Precious," executive producer Oprah Winfrey after missing a series of promotional events for the new movie. Tongues were wagging that Mo fell out with Queen Oprah, Tyler Perry AND director Lee Daniels! This was after reportedly demanding thousands of dollars to walk the red carpet at the recent Toronto Film Festival in Canada and the New York Film Festival last month. Daniels has since come to Mo'Nique's defense, insisting she showed no signs of "diva" behavior, but new reports have since blamed her hubby/manager, Sidney Hicks, for making the cash demands, which set O off. A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "He's impossible to work with and was the one demanding the payments. She deserves an Academy Award and he's screwing it up for her." Mo...you may need to sit ya man down. However, her peeps say "There is no feud. Only mutual respect and admiration."
I told you yesterday that Tionne ‘T-Boz Watkins of TLC has become the latest entertainer to experience Swine Flu. Sharing her story with Life & Style recently, T-Boz says she feels better now but was really hit hard. She reveals, “My daughter and I had sore throats that lasted about three days, so we went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist. After examining us, he told me my daughter had the flu – and I had swine flu… I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mum… I had to stay in the house and away from everyone.” Four days later, her doctor urged her to check into hospital. All the medication, some herbs and supplements quickened her recovery.
Not again! Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has reportedly just been sent back to the Fulton County Jail because he violated his probation. He went in front the judge and was sentenced to a year, but may only do half the time with good behavior.
I have grown weary of America's Next Top Model. But next season may be better. Word on the streets is cycle 14 will have a former judge back in the cut. Rumor has it that Tyra's on-again, off-again homegirl Kimora Lee Simmons, who was allegedly fired after cycle one , will be back as a judge. I miss Kimora so I am feeling that. Also Vogue magazine editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley will be joining the cast of judges, too. Miss J will be back to his original role of teaching the girls to walk.
During an interview, Lamar admits that he is ready to start a family with his wife Khloe Kardashian. Already? Has she met your OTHER kids?! Anyhoo, Khloe says she is very happy right now and even stopped her Quick Trim diet because she feels she’s at her perfect weight. This comes after she gained 5 extra pounds since being married ...you know them "love pounds". You eat, love and lay up. It happens. Word is Ryan Seacrest is trying to get Khloe and Lamar their own reality show, aside from Keeping up with the Kardashians....Kim's face is probably so cracked. No marriage...no baby and now this? Speaking of her face...doesn't it look different?
First DMX not its Flava Flav... government name -William Drayton. Flavor Flav is next in a long line of celebrities who owe big bucks to Uncle Sam. The hypeman and reality star reportedly owes 183-thousand dollars in unpaid taxes. According to the Detroit News, the state of California filed an $183,810 lien against Flav,September 17th in Sacramento County Court. Other celebs who have recently been caught by the IRS are Nas and Method Man, who was arrested last month on a tax evasion charge.
Chris Brown was cursed out by a random chic while leaving an in store appearance the other day. As he left the store, she yelled insults such as “You ****** Beater” and “I hope someone beats the *****crap out of you”. Chris juat smiled as he walked right past her. He tweeted about it. The video is online.
It looks as though Lil Wayne welcomed a new baby to the world last night. Nivea went into labor late last night and it expected to have given birth. This is Wayne’s third baby, following in the heels of his baby boy with Lauren London, born just two months ago.
