What's up! Ok ...the Saturday it's early for me. But nevertheless, here some heat from Hollyhood for your Saturday pleasure!
Gucci Mane was on the road to recovering from a drug and alcohol addiction when he was sentenced to a year in prison this week. "[Gucci] told the court yesterday he was on a road to recovery in terms of being clean and sober," Dwight L Thomas, who also represented T.I. in his recent gun case told MTV Friday. "[He is] alcohol free and weed free. ... He's also dealing with the emotional issue of killing somebody. He's been in counseling and therapy." Gucci had been tested positive for cocaine and marijuana in the past and had not completed required community service stemming from two cases. With good behavior he could be out in as little as two months. Prayerfully, he can get the mental and emotional strength he needs to overcome his issues.
Let's talk marriage. Tongues are wagging ya girl Keyshia Cole and her baller boo Daniel "Boobie" Gibson just got engaged. No confirmation but if so, big ups to the two. They are a cute couple.
As T.I. continues to serve his one year and one day prison sentence, his fiancée Tameka"Tiny" Cottle is opening up about her relationship and confirming that she and T.I. are indeed getting married.In a recent interview with XXL magazine, when asked about a specific date on the wedding, Tiny responded with, "Sometime next year, but we can't really give a date yet because we have to find out exactly when Tip is coming home, we'll have to just plan around that, but I envision a fairy tale wedding." Good for them!
While "The Game" actress Tia Mowry’s talked about marriage to her boo of almost a year Cory Hardrict last night on BET. She along with co-stars Brittany Daniel, my girl Wendy Raquel "Tosha Mac" Robinson, and the rest of the crew were on The Mo’Nique Show t to talk about The Game that has been picked up by the network. YAY FOR BET!!! I miss Derwin...especially his hard work in the gym...working those abs! LOL.
Remember this week pics hit the net of Jay Z with a mysterious lady going out and about? I liked her boots. Anyhoo, the woman in question is said to be Bridget Kelly, a label rep for Roc Nation. And word is there are no problems in the Carter household. She wanted folks to respect her privacy so that's why she was duckin'. If ya'all say so, then it is so. SMH. But wifey B was spotted in London kickin it...and of course, bodyguard Julius was there. I know that's his job but....ok.
Brandy settled on an undisclosed amount with the parents of the woman she killed in a car crash accident in December 2006, avoiding a civil trial. Brandy already paid out $300,000 a piece to the woman's two children as well as the other injured driver, Mallory Ham.
Beware of false concert bookings! Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant, known for managing Drake and Lil Wayne, is addressing rumors that someone has been impersonating him and falsely booking appearances for his acts. Guess what the culprit used? Yep - twitter! But an investigation is underway. So far, they've been targeting Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, and Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Usher has decided to up the release of his anticipated album "Raymond Vs. Raymond".Originally due for release in early 2010, the once believed to be titled "Monster" effort is now due in stores December 21. Droppin' it while the ink is still wet, huh?
