Here is some weekend heat for your gossip pleasure:
DAANNNNNGGGG!! NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin fired back Friday against rape accusations with a $100 million lawsuit against his accuser. Calling her ``morally bankrupt,'' the lawsuit filed in Dallas court alleges the woman is trying to destroy Irvin's reputation as a highly acclaimed sports broadcaster. It also said she picked this week -- when Irvin was scheduled to be an on-air personality during South Florida's Super Bowl festivities -- to capitalize on the attention. True dat. Irvin's lawsuit was filed the same day he was let go from his radio show which aired on ESPN radio in Dallas. Word is he was let go because his contract was up and the did not performed.But the NFL Network stood by Irvin, saying he would continue to work for them during the Super Bowl weekend. On Thursday, a Broward County woman filed suit in Broward Circuit Court, accusing Irvin of raping her at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino over the July Fourth holiday 2007. The woman, identified as Jane Doe in her lawsuit, claims Irvin tried to get her drunk, lured her to his hotel room and raped her. Another unidentified man also forced her to perform acts that night as well. According to Irvin's lawsuit, the woman's lawyers pushed for five months for Irvin to pay up to $1 million.
That's not the only lawsuit. Beyonce Knowles and her mother, Tina Knowles got hit with some legal stuff too. According to Hong Kong based Vier International, Beyonce's clothing line, House of Dereon, breached its contract. The manufacturer, claims to have lost at least $500,000 due to clothing company Donna Loren LLC and shippers HJM International, who they say "induced the shipment of goods to the United States with the intent to convert them or pay less than agreed upon contract price." The company also claims Beyonce's House of Dereon and Beyond Productions LLC took part in the scheme via purchase orders. No word from B's camp just yet.
While ya girl Jill Scott is fighting allegations that she not only breached an agreement but, owes her former record label three albums. We talked about it this week but now, she has responded. In a statement issued Friday, a rep for Scott says the lawsuit has "no legal merit" and "misrepresents" the singer's long held relationship with the label she has called home for at least ten years. Her peeps claim Jill has the legal right to terminate her recording contract with Hidden Beach Recordings under California's 7-year rule. Who knew?! All right..her lawyers earning they money. Had no idea about the 7 year rule.
Today is the day for docket reports! A judge wants to put a sex tape of two-time presidential candidate John Edwards "under lock and key," demanding Friday that his former aide, Andrew Young, turn over the video by next week. Edwards' former mistress/baby momma, Rielle Hunter, had won a temporary restraining order against ol' boy that sought the return of what she called a "very private and personal" video she made in 2006 and has sued him for invasion of privacy. The original sex tape is in an Atlanta safety deposit box along with possibly two other copies, according to an affidavit filed by Andrew Friday night. The judge has asked for all of the copies. This cat initially claimed to be the father of Hunter's baby, has also written a tell-all book about how John Edwards hid his mistress and child amid the 2008 White House campaign. The longtime aide wrote that he found a video in a "box of trash" she had left behind at a home he rented in Chapel Hill. The tape, shows Edwards in a sexual encounter with a pregnant woman that Young believes to be Rielle Hunter. That John is a piece of work! And a tape...ewww. I think I threw up in my mouth. TMI...
Word is Rihanna was so drunk after a night of club hopping in Miami Beach that she had to be carried to a waiting car after her last round! Rumor has it ya girl was paid about 20 g's for a 30-minute appearance at Mansion nightclub...just show her face and BAM! In came the cash. Must be nice. Rihanna showed up an hour late and was led into the club through a back alley. But once inside the club, she told friends she didn’t feel well and she was led right back out the same door. You know she like to get her drank on!
Kourtney Kardashian has got some baby-daddy drama...but not with who we believe to be the baby daddy! Make sense? Her's the deal - Kourtney's ex-boyfriend Michael Girgenti has come forward to suggest that Mason Dash Disick is actually his son. A source close to Kourtney revealed, “Kourtney’s teary over Michael saying she conceived when she and Scott were fighting and avoiding each other....haunting Kourtney is Michael saying he wants a paternity test for Mason’s sake.." And you thought this only happened on Maury!
Christine Beatty, mistress of ex-Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, is reportedly moving to Atlanta. Supposedly she wants to distance herself from her former texting boo. Remember they both served time in prison for lying under oath about their affair. The affair came was outed by a Detroit newspaper who published some of the explicit text messages sent between them. At least she is getting a new gig. This time...leave the boss alone. And let' snot text either.
Trina and Diddy were on set for her latest music video “Million Dollar Girl”, shot on location in Miami. The song also features Keri Hilson !Trina’s 5th album Amazin’, in stores May 4, 2010. Something looks different about Trina...did she add some plump to her cups? Just askin'.
Speakin' of buxom cups and Diddy, he has named the Superbowl as, The “DIDDY BOWL”! Diddy loves him some...Diddy, right? Rumor is he bought out King of Diamonds (KOD) strip club for 3 nights so yep, he will be on the blogs for cuttin' up I imagine!
Is Hill Harper now kickin' it with a Pussycat Doll? He has been spotted with the lead doll -Nicole Sherzinger. No confirmation but hmmmm....Nic pulls 'em huh?
