Some Superbowl Heat...and Somethin' for the Ladies!

Are you ready for some football? Before we get to some other football stuff, let's skim the basics.
When Giants quarterback Eli Manning takes the field Sunday, he will be the only Manning to play in Indianapolis this season, which is surprising since his brother, Peyton, is the QB for the Indianapolis Colts, but missed the season due to an injury.
Sunday’s game is the first Super Bowl hosted by Indianapolis.
Also, Super Bowl Sunday is the number two food-consumption day of the year, just behind Thanksgiving. Ten-million man-hours are spent on Super Bowl food preparation...and some serious cash is spent!
Madonna, M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj got the halftime show covered, too.
No doubt Superbowl is about football, commercials, parties and grub! But it's time for some football history.
Kind of.
Rolling Out has listed the hottest pieces of eye-candy who are or have graced the Superbowl field. You ready? ...

Relationship Experts Tell the "5 Things You Don't Tell Your Man"

There is nothing someone could tell my husband that he doesn't know or would shock him. Since we were friends first, I talked to him. Really talked! Was an open book. After all, I believe for someone to truly love and accept me as I am, then they need to know past issues, situations and the like. Our pasts - good, bad, ugly - make us who we are. If we have grown from our mistakes, it teaches us to be better people. And for that matter, issues I presently deal with I have no problem calling my man and telling him what is running through my head and how it is affecting the rest of me. Of course when I was single, if I wa sgetting to know someone and discovered a dude was uptight, insecure, and judgemental, they were dismissed. I can't have duplicity in who I am. ...
Bamboozled by "Love & Hip Hop's" Love Advice

So did you see the finale of "Love & Hip Hop" Monday? So many things bamboozled me...Kimbella pregnant again by Juelz with no ring and no support like she desires. Is Olivia hard-headed trying to do her own thang - which hasn't worked thus far? (Sidebar: A good thing was when Mama Jones made me want to hug her as she and Chrissy mended ways.) But my big bamboozle of the night: when Emily sat down with Chrissy and dropped dime her friend Winter basically told her to overlook any indiscretions Fab may have to keep living the good life! I just knew Chrissy was gonna be like, "What! Girl, no!"
But noooo....
Instead of jumping in and telling her she deserves better, Chrissy, with a man who hasn't been caught in any publiccheating scandals and claims his girl 110% unlike Fab, dismissed it. She basically told Emily that with ...

What Nia Long Halle - And Maybe You - Have in Common

Nia Long recently gave birth to her 2nd son, though she has a 10-year-old and is over 40. Halle had little Nahla in her early 40's as well. They are celebs - true that -but I notice everyday women like me and you are delaying motherhood as well. Last year for the first time in America, unmarried folks vs. married were close to equal, which conveys most men and women don’t feel ready for marriage or start families in their 20s. Growing up in the age of more divorce, out-of-wedlock births, financial uncertainty and other issues cause some to delay marriage. And this often impacts starting families. Back in the day, women popped out kids early – and more often. Now, it is no surprise more women start their families in their 30s. Some wait until their early 40’s . The pro is the group tend sto be more educated, ...
The First Lady Fights the the "A.B.W." Stamp

As I watched Jason Pitts on "The Game", his whole imitation of the eye-rolling, bus pas pass, weave having, neck moving black woman was too much. I mean, I know we have some black women who are the poster child for A.B.W. (Angry Black Woman), but that is not all of us. One of my girlfriends blames it on so many young women seeing outbursts of anger, negativity and brashness from the women in their life and it becomes a generational behavior. Agree or not, at some point, we as black women have to look at how we're viewed to see what claims are warranted. We must take an individual analysis of ourselves and what we portray. Whether we've been mis-treated, not understood or what, holding bitterness is unhealthy and emotinal bondage. But let's keep it real: some people will believe what they want regardless. But let's not give them ...

Is Cheating a "Must" for Some?

I can only tell this from a woman perspective – cuz that’s what I am! In the past when cheated on, I always wondered what was wrong with me. Many females in my circle at the time dealt with infidelity as well – even some of the most beautiful ladies I know. While at first you may think it’s looks, or simple physical attraction that makes a mate stray, maybe not. For instance, look at Christina Milian.
During her 10-month long marriage to producer, Terius "The Dream" Nash, she got cheated on and admits her beauty didn’t keep him faithful. "Beautiful has nothing to do with [getting cheated on]," she says. "Know I'm a really good wife, I'm a really good girlfriend," she adds. "I know we're all supposed to take blame for certain things, but I have to say I'm pretty good at all those things." She divorced "The ...
