BET/Def Jam's R&B recording group, Brutha, visited the Hot 103 Jamz studio on Monday, January 19th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The group who has the new single, "I Can't Hear The Music" and the hit BET reality show "Brothers to Brutha". The group entertained members of Hot 103 Jamz "Generation Rap" and the Hickman Mills Prevention Coalition - Youth 4 Change for two hours by answering various questions, eating pizza, signing autographs and taking pictures. Harrell brothers--Anthony, Jared, Jacob, Cheyenne and Grady showed mad love to the students who attended the meet and greet party. I want to personally thank the Def Jam Midwest Promotions Manager, Michelle Burden and Hot 103 Jamz members, Julee Jonez, Dyan Devereaux, Kenny Diamondz, Brooklyn Martino, Stacey Rhymes, JT Quick, Mike Carter, Jr. and Grand Dad Nunnelly for assisting at the event. Great job!
WOW Gospel 2009

January is one of my favorite month's for music! I always look forward to the release of the WOW Gospel compilation. Since 1998, I've been collecting the WOW Gospel series. It's a two disc compilation of gospel music's biggest songs from the previous year. To be honest, gospel music is the only true soul music that's left in America outside of country music (that's another love of mine and another blog). WOW Gospel 2009 will be in the stores Tuesday, January 27th. I guarantee you the compilation has a lineup of great songs from your favorite gospel artists. When I listen to the compilation, I'm usaully attached to either disc one or disc two. For this year's compilation, disc two of WOW Gospel 2009 is my favorite. It's loaded with the biggest gospel hits of 2008 including Marvin Sapp's "Never Would Have Made It", Regina Belle "God Is Good", Beverly Crawford's "He's Done Enough", Ricky ...
Lil' Kim Is Not Feeling Notorious
Posted 1/14/2009 8:50:00 PM
Lil' Kim is acting like a true Queen B about the new flick, "Notorious". The movie reflects the life of late rap superstar Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G.. Lil' Kim released a statement about the movie, "The film studio and producers involved were more concerned about painting me as a 'character' to create a more interesting story line instead of a person with talent, self-respect and who was able to achieve her own career success through hard work.
Hold up Kim, the movie is not entitled "My Pasties Are Covering Up My Tig Ole Bitties", "Queen B: Lies In Court", "Queen B Is Someone's Queen B In Prison", "I Slept With Biggie" or "Queen B Gets Out Of Prison". The movie is about the Notorious B.I.G not Lil' Kim. Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace disses Lil' Kim's comments.
