It's the most wonderful time of the year
Posted 11/3/2009 4:00:00 PM
Ok it's that time of the year, an I'm very excited! One because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all, secondly I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!!!!! I listen to it year round so of course I get the stank eye from a lot of folks, but I don't care I'm a big nerd & always have been.
Huge fan of most all of the Christmas & holiday shows that come on TV this time of the year, so if you see me & I'm extra happy, or you pull up next to me in traffic & I'm jamming a little extra hard it's just the Christmas music.
So grab a verse & sing along, besides that's the best part of a good Christmas song, singing with friends!
Told you I was a nerd :-)

The UK was defiantly in for an amazing string of shows this past summer, too bad the worlds greatest entertainer didn't live to perform the 50 shows that were sold out at London's 02 arena. However over this Halloween weekend "Michael Jackson's This is it" the footage shot during rehearsals for the before mentioned concerts hit the big screen & of course was the number 1 movie across the globe bringing in over $60 million.
Being a Michael fan I myself have seen the movie 4 times myself this weekend and plan to see it a few more times. Though marketing of the film leeds you to believe it's some sort of documentary about the last few days of his life when actually it's pretty much Mike in concert giving a glimpse into what was in store for London for those 50 shows.
& man what an AMAZING SHOW! His ...

How is it that some folks will go as far as to have the entire world glued to the TV or computer screen Praying for their child's safety for hours all in an attempt to get some publicity. What is really wrong with our society today?
It's that damn reality TV farce if you ask me. People will do any & everything just for a chance to have that 15 minutes. I mean really exploiting your child's welfare in a pathetic attempt for attention? Where does it end?
Where I come from we were told never to burn bread on someone we care about cause that mess just may come back to haunt you. We were all relieved to know that ballon boy as he's now being called in the media is ok, but as for his parents & whoever else was involved in the whole shame deserve whatever justice ...

This swine flu stuff is getting rather serious, & were not doing much to protect ourselves. As a matter of fact I read just last week that 1 out of 4 men don't wash their hands when leaving the restroom, Not only is that just plain nasty, but a man will be the first person to reach out give you a grip, hand shake or dap of some sort.
That can spread something a lot worse than the swine flu. We need to protect ourselves a lot better, there is nothing wrong with giving a fist pound, or just a simple wave, but washing your hands frequently, and washing down things in your office that others may use with some sort of disinfectant cloth would be a wise idea.
Carry around some hand sanitizer and watch what you put in your hands & near your face.

I recently had a very dear friend of mine pass away from colon cancer, and you constantly hear people speak of the importance of getting to the doctors and being checked out. I just don't get why we still have to have this conversation, it's better to know before the problem gets out of control & you no longer have to worry about going to see the Dr. or even breathing for that matter, because without regular check ups there is only one alternative.
The excuse of no insurance is not flying anymore, the number of free health screenings is ridiculous plus local public hospitals offer some of the best care in the world even when you can't pay.
I know some of these test can be uncomfortable, but I'm sure death hurts a whole lot more especially for those of us left to grieve your passing.
