After several months of controversy and claims of racial discrimination at the Downtown Power & Light District,  a family files a lawsuit against the Power & Light District. ******SPECIAL NOTE***** Notice the THEY........IN THIS BLOG.
As a concert ticket buyer, you always have to beware of the concerts that come to town. How do you know which ones will be legit and which ones are not? You don't, until you get there. That's why I say ticket buyer beware. Now.... As far as "THE WACK TO THE 90's TOUR" last night at the Uptown Theater....WOW! where do I start? Well...let's start at the beginning.
DOOR OPEN AT 7PM....CONCERT START AT 8PM......NOT!!! That's where things went to the left. THEY come to me and tell me to go on stage at 8:30 pm and say the concert will start shortly. Well about 9:15 pm I go on stage to announce the first act, Yung J. (a 13 year old up and coming artist at a old school concert). I will give Yung J. his props, he's gonna be good. ...

The Northwest Airline pilots that were suspended because they missed their landing by 150 miles, now may lose their license and their jobs. Early reports claim they may have fallen asleep.......but the pilots now say.....THEY WERE ON THEIR LAPTOPS checking schedules. WTF......you gotta be kidding me. Here the passengers are thinking they are safely being transported to their destination, and the pilots have pulled out their laptops. Now do you see why I ask the question in my post the other day when this story broke.....DO WE KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON IN THE COCPIT WHEN WE ARE IN THE AIR?  With the airplane crashes in the last 5 years, makes you wonder huh?

NORTHWEST AIRLINE PILOTS GETS SUSPENDED...FOR MISSING THEIR LANDING.

Everyday many of us take to the sky flying from city to city to out of town destinations putting our lives in the hands of the airlines, BUT DO WE REALLY KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE COCKPIT, WHILE WE'RE IN THE AIR? Two Northwest airline pilots have been suspended because they missed landing their plane by 150 miles. Some officials say 'THEY MAY HAVE BEEN SLEEP". They still have not said why they missed their landing.

While the KFC restaurants have a MAD promotion going on for their grilled chicken, looks like a national physicians group is suing the chicken franchise for not letting us the consumer know that their grilled chicken has a cancer causing substance in it. See full story below.

R.I.P LARRY J.

I write today with a heavy heart. My close friend and friend to many at HOT 103 JAMZ! Larry J., lost his battle with cancer over the weekend. There are many of you who will read this that didn't know Larry J, so let me paint a picture for you. Long before these fly by night promoters in Kansas City who call themselves concert and party promoters came along, Larry J, Captain Vonzell, Sgt. Oooh Wee, Marcus Smith and Kevin "KB" Brown of KB's Lounge, had the city on lock.  When it comes to promoting partys and events at hotels, clubs, and even your mama's basement, Larry J and the fellas made the blueprint. You had to be at anything they promoted.

A few months ago I talked about a fight between some teenagers that I rode up on at a 7 Eleven at Linwood and Gilliham. It was at least 75 kids out there, some fighting and some watching. I could'nt believe how many people were out there. The thing I asked myself was, did these kids parents know where they were. Probably not. PARENTS WE NEED TO DO A BETTER JOB AT KNOWING WHERE ARE KIDS ARE!!!!!!!! I have a 17 year old daughter, and I'm always asking her where she's going and who's she with. Yeah, I hear the frustration in her voice when I asked.....BUT....oh well. I'm the parent.
