When I came across this story it almost brought tears to my eyes knowing that I have a young child and children are so innocent. A 4 year old boy may have contracted an STD after putting a used condom in his mouth, that he found in a hotel room while his family was staying there. I don't eat much off the menu at McDonald's restaurant, but when I do, I usually will get a fish sandwich or I might be craving for their world famous Chicken McNuggets. An Ohio woman went SMOOTH off at a McDonald's drive-thru because they had stopped serving off the dinner menu and began serving from their breakfast menu. After being harrassed at work, being accused of stealing, and forced to resign from his job, a Conneticut man went on a shooting rampage at a beer distributor and killed eight co-workers and wounded two before killing himself.  My oldest daughter just graduated from high school and even though she took many field trips and returned safely while in school, my BIGGEST fear for my youngest daughter is what happened just outside of St. Louis earlier today. Two school buses transporting band students on a field trip to Six Flags, crashed into each other while trying to stop for another wreck that happened in front of them on the freeway. The crash killed two people and sent over 40 others to area hospitals with injuries, but non life-threatening. While my baby girl takes many field trips with her school and on a school bus, when she leaves for the day......ALL I CAN IS ASK GOD TO PUT A SHIELD OF PROTECTION AROUND HER!!!!!!! May GOD bless those families in that horrible crash today.

 

At the age of 35, New York Yankee 3rd baseman Alex Rodriguez, became the youngest Major League baseball player to hit 600 home runs today against the Toronto Blue Jays. Although he is the seventh player among some of baseball elite players to ever hit 600 home runs, it comes one year later after Rodriguez admitted to using steroids which is a banned substance by the league. Two other player on that list (Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa) are also suspected of using steroids. Before Rodriguez made the list of 600 today, New York Yankee great Babe Ruth held the spot for being the youngest player on the list. Today future Hall Of Fame quarterback Brett Favre announced his retirement. One year ago today, we were asking the same question, IS IT FOR GOOD?
