It also said she picked this week -- when Irvin was scheduled to be an on-air personality during South Florida's Super Bowl festivities -- to capitalize on the attention. True dat. What's good! Workin' a little late today but here's ya entertainment juice for your Friday pleasure!
Not again! If Michael Irvin thought his scandalous days were behind him, he thought wrong. A woman who says the former Dallas Cowboy raped her at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino filed a civil lawsuit against him Thursday. She is simply referred to as “Jane Doe” in her lawsuit. The woman said the attack happened in 2007, in the late hours of July 4 or early July 5. In the suit, the woman said Irvin bought her alcohol to get her drunk, then lured her to his hotel room. She describes Irvin and another man trying to stuff money into her clothes, then insisting on sexual favors. She says that when she told them no, the unidentified man held her down and covered her mouth, then Irvin raped her. When Irvin was ...
Wake Up, Generation Y!

Are you an educated sister who is very well spoken but are told, "You talk white"?
Perhaps you are an educated black man, committed to doing what is right and your pants sit at your waist. Yet you may have heard, "He's a sell out."
Maybe you are a young person who wants to positively impact your community, while your friends accuse you of "not keeping it real."
Sound familiar?
It's a shame as people of color that some of us embrace ignorance as an attribute when we have the capacity to be just as successful as any other ethnic group. Education is critical for this generation to reestablish themselves as positive leaders. Director Spike Lee agrees.
Spike Lee issued a wake-up call to Generation Y before a full house at Northern Arizona University Wednesday night. The director of "Do the Right Thing" and "When the Levees Broke" said an ...
Should You Ever Give Ultimatums?
Posted 2/3/2010 10:20:00 AM
Ever invest in the "my way or it's no way" method of getting your mate to do what you want? Let's be real. At one point or another in their life, most of us (at least the women!) have felt the urge to deliver an ultimatum. There are things in your life that are not negotiable, like trust, commitment and love. Either you give these things or not. But when these desires aren't being met, if an ultimatum would lead to a greater good, isn't that enough to justify it? Or does it manipulate your mate into pleasing you for the moment but later, you find they resent you. I mean, this is not just for single people. Maybe your Coca-Cola shaped sista suddenly becomes more rotund. Maybe the wife wants more kids but the husband says, "No thanks!" The opportunity for ultimatums is ever present.
This begs the question, should ...

Racism In Obama's America
Posted 1/27/2010 11:00:00 AM
In the year since President Obama smashed barriers to become the country's first black president, racial taunts and innuendos have slyly or sometimes blatantly, been circulated on the Internet, in e-mails and cartoons. Poll numbers suggest most voters are not judging the president based on the color of his skin, but the issue has continued to surface- almost on a regular basis. Think about it. His image has been altered to look like an African witch doctor; his wife's to look like a gorilla. The idea of having a black family in the White House was initially so sensitive to some that the infamous "fist bump" were analyzed for possible racial undertones! And let's be real: no other president has been criticized and insulted like our current one.
Will it end? ABC News.com took a look back at some of the examples of racially charged incidents which made the public ...

Kim Kardashian has been granted a restraining order against an alleged stalker who is delusional and believes he's dating her. Dennis Shaun Bowman began sending her Twitter messages last fall, professing his love for her, she says. He then moved from Georgia to Kim's city of Calabasas, California, to be near her, according to the document. This fool believes he's in a relationship with Kimmie, turned up at the her appearances in L.A., sometimes wearing joker face paint. He even sent a Twitter message to her boyfriend, NFL star Reggie Bush, looking for a fight. Fool, are crazy?! Well...yes. He also tweeted her to ask forgiveness for missing an imaginary dinner date planned in Atlanta. Under the restraining order, apparently recommended by LAPD's Threat Management unit, dude must stay 500 yards away from Kimmie ...
