Tony G

Tony G can be heard during the mid-day, Monday through Friday 12p.m- 3p.m. playing the best music to get you through your work day with best in old school with the 12o'clock Throwback Jamz! Before moving to mid-day, you could hear Tony 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. during the #1 "Afternoon Drive" spot. His feature segments included "What's the Next Jam Line", I've Got Five On It", and "The Cla'ence Update" (The Young & The Restless daily update). For 10 years Tony held down the number one spot at night hosting, "Pump It or Dump It", "The Hot 8 at 8 Countdown", "Way Back Wednesday", and "The Quiet Storm".

Tony was born and raised in Kansas City.  He attended the University of Kansas and received his degree from the Columbia School of Broadcasting.  Because of his love for Kansas City, he has committed himself to helping the community by regularly speaking to students at local schools, youth organizations and much more. 

Tony also initiated several well known events and public service projects for KPRS including the HOT 103 JAMZ and Tony G's 48 Hour Holiday Toy and Food Drive, now celebrating 13 years. In 1994 he took a stand against playing "negative rap" and music that is degrading or glorifies violence. In addition to his success and popularity on the air, he has received numerous awards for his positive outreach to the community.

Tony G also spent four years as the "voice/announcer" of the UPN affiliate, More TV 29.
