My favorite rapper of all time, Nas in case you didn’t know, has penned an open letter to music to celebrate Black History Month. Check out the letter here:

Hip-hop is my favorite genre when it comes to music. I’ve been an avid fan of hip-hop you could say since I was like 8 or 9 years old, becoming a huge fan by middle school for sure in the mid-90’s. It’s a way of life and it’s a culture. Not sure where the culture is going today, but the hip-hop I grew up on is still out there it’s just harder to find now as it’s not the mainstream hip-hop we’re used to today. Good to hear and see Nas express his feelings on hip-hop.
