Meek Mill Donates 6,000 Backpacks To Philadelphia Students

Meek Mill is donating 6,000 backpacks to his hometown of Philadelphia, PA this week. The rapper is teaming up with Puma, United Legwear, sports shop Fanatics and Philadelphia’s luxury store Milano Di Rogue to donate the backpacks. There will be backpacks for elementary, middle school and high school students. The backpacks for the elementary kids and middle schoolers will include pencil sharpeners, rulers, glue sticks and crayons.  The high schoolers will receive dry erase markers, notebooks and pens in their backpacks. On Wednesday, TMZ captured Meek surprising some students his alma mater, James G. Blaine Elementary School with backpacks. Meek is preparing to co-headline the Made in America Festival this Labor Day weekend (September 1-2), which is also his first show at home since being released from prison.
