Job Description

Carter Broadcast Group, Inc. is looking for a dynamic and highly qualified Accounting Specialist with extensive knowledge of accounting principles, A/R, A/P and payroll.
Specific Duties
  • Recording day to day financial transactions & posting to ledgers
  • Balancing subsidiary accounts
  • Assist with A/R month end and close
  • Identify and resolve payment discrepancies between sales department and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or in a related field a plus
Experience
  • Five years’ experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
  • Radio or media experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operations
Skills & Abilities
  • High confidentiality, good judgment, and solid ethics
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build positive interpersonal relationships, and proven team player
  • Strong with planning, problem solving, and customer relationships.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Provide administrative support to executive management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with demonstrated expertise in complex Excel-based financial modeling
