FBI Arrest Felicity Huffman, Warrant Issued For Lori Loughlin In Massive College Admission Scheme

Actress Felicity Huffman was arrested Tuesday morning by law enforcement for her involvement in a bribery scheme to get her daughter into elite colleges. Fuller House star Lori Loughlin and her spouse Mossimo Gianulli are also charged in the nationwide indictment. Huffman and Loughlin are being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Loughlin’s husband, Mr. Gianulli, has also been arrested. Loughlin was out of the country due to work, and not arrested as of press time.

According to the FBI and the U.S Attorney’s office for the district of Massachusetts, Huffman and Loughlin knowingly broke the law trying to get their kids into top-tier colleges, and were named among a group of 33 parents who paid millions in bribes to coaches at top schools like Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA, Yale and USC.

Huffman and Gianulli were taken into custody with 11 other Los Angeles locals on Tuesday as an indictment was unsealed in federal court in Boston. They appeared in downtown L.A. court on Tuesday on charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Among 33 parents and 17 others under indictment, the charges could see the actors behind bars for up to five years.

As of press time, Huffman was released on $250,000 bond. The judge set a $1 million bond for fashion designer Giannulli, who put up his house as collateral.  Both had to surrender their passports and their travel was restricted to the continental U.S.
