The big story of the day wasn’t the New England Patriots visiting the White House after winning the NFL championship this past season. It belonged to one of their former players Aaron Hernandez, who was found dead in his jail cell days after being acquitted of double murder and still serving a life sentence for a murder conviction prior. According to Massachusetts Department of Correction officers found him around 3 am est hanging from his bed sheet attached to his cell window. What a sad story all around for somebody who went from one of the best tight ends in the league to serving a life sentence for murdering a man who was dating his fiancee’s sister at the time.
