The 90th Academy Awards was on last night, and the only thing I saw on my timeline that talked about the award show was about Tiffany Haddish’s appearance with Maya Rudolph as a presenter. That should sum up the buzz surrounding this year’s Oscar ceremonies! Get Out did not win Best Picture but Jordan Peele did win Best Original Screenplay, which made him the first African-American to win in that categoy. The Shape Of Water was the big winner of the night, taking home 4 Oscars including Best Picture. Also Kobe Bryant got him an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film for his Dear Basketball project, and Mary J Blige fell short in Best Original song and Best Supporting Actress for Mudbound.
