Host Jimmy Kimmel made few political jokes but mentioned the Hollywood sex scandals. However, the big statements came from the stars on stage. I would say the night centered on inclusion, representation and female empowerment. As expected, the #MeToo movement was a focal point but so was the DREAMers .
Kobe became the first NBA baller to win an Oscar for Dear Basketball. Here’s his speech where he shaded Fox host Laura Ingram – who said Lebron should “shut up and dribble.”
Some took offense that he won during this time when #MeToo is on the rise after being accused of rape. He was acquitted in 2004 because his accuser was unwilling to testify.
Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph presented together and had jokes! Many on the net want them to host in 2019.
And yes — that is the third time Tiffany wore that dress.
So this had many — me included — thinking Taraji shaded Ryan Seacrest who was previously accused of sexual misconduct by stylist Suzie Hardy.

It’s an awkward position to be in. He’s been cleared but anyone can say anything,” Henson, 47, said.
