In celebration of Easter, NBC presented Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert on Sunday night. It got some great reviews. John Legend played Jesus Christ, while Sara Bareilles portrayed Mary Magdalene and rocker Alice Cooperhad a brief role as King Herod. Not everyone felt Cooper. The Hollywood Reporter said he came off as “more of a sneering geriatric rocker than a mocking vaudevillian.”
