Tonight on BET and Paramount Network, the six part docuseries Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story begins. The series is about Trayvon’s life, legacy and the events that came after his death. Today in my opinion this subject is still a hot button topic. One thing for sure is that Trayvon did not deserve to die that night in the hands of George Zimmerman. Of course we know that Zimmerman never had to do any time for the shooting and we know that he feels justified for what he did. In a sense, it was a preview of things to come in this country when we still have to deal with cop shootings, racism, and politics not doing what it should for the greater good of this country. I know there will be a lot of hurt, anger and sadness when watching this docuseries but it is very necessary for this story to be told! Read more about this story here:
