Drake was booed off stage at the Camp Flog Gnaw music festival in Los Angeles over the weekend, right after he was unveiled as the surprise headliner for the evening.
Videos posted on various social media outlets show that Drake was warmly received after he was introduced by the festival’s host, Tyler, the Creator. However, rumors had earlier circulated that soul artist Frank Ocean might be the surprise headliner instead, so Drake was booed off stage alongside the crowd chanting “We want Frank.
Drake said after performing the song “Wu-Tang Forever, “Like I said, I’m here for you tonight. If you want to keep going, I will keep going. It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake. Thank you all for having me.” Drake played just nine songs before eventually being booed off stage. Among the festival’s other headliners were Solange, YG and Brockhampton.
