Rapper YG kicked off 2020 with a tweet posted at the start of New Year’s Day, in which he reflected on his past behaviors and issued a formal apology to the LGBTQ community.
“It’s been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant,” he wrote. “I apologize to the LGBTQ kommunity for ever komin across like i was anything but respectful and accepting. Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!”
Many applauded YG for putting his tweet out, commenting that his change of heart may have been due to his public relationship last year with R&B star Kehlani, who openly identifies as bisexual.
