Missouri is making a major move today.
Because Missourians will join the millions of people who have enrolled in Medicaid expansion — due to the Affordable Care Act.
In fact, today the Biden-Harris Administration made the announcement. Under this expansion, individuals with coverage will now have access to the full range of health care benefits – from preventive screenings, to emergency care, to prescription medications. In our state it’s estimated that approximately 275,000 people between the ages of 19-64 are now eligible for health coverage, thanks to Medicaid expansion. We speak with Chiquita Brooks-Lasure, the first Black woman to lead the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
