When I saw this story on the news, I was in amazement. Glenn Frommer is riding his bike for over 5,300 miles through 18 states. While that is a big feat, it’s for a great cause. He’s raising funds and bringing awareness about PKD – Polycystic kidney disease – through Ride for PKD, in conjunction with the PKD Foundation.

PKD is a genetic disorder that causes cysts to grow in the kidneys. Health complications include high blood pressure and kidney failure. In fact, most people with PKD will eventually need dialysis or a kidney transplant. Although PKD affects all races and ethnicities equally, data suggests African Americans suffer worse outcomes.
Glenn was diagnosed with PKD in 2015. as the disease is progressing slowly for him, he’s witnessed how PKD can impact others as they suffer, without a cure.

That’s why his mission is important. Listen in for more – and how you can support those affected by PKD.
