Local and national conversation surrounding when Black women go missing was highlighted all weekend on social media. This comes in the aftermath of Excelsior Springs resident Timothy Haslett Jr.’s arrest for raping and kidnapping a woman, whom he held hostage in his basement since September. Damon Daniel, the president of AdHoc Group Against Crime, weighs in. He speaks on how his organization helps families of missing individuals, why it’s important to file a police report and more.
