Community Corner: NCBW-KC Hosts the 6th Annual Women and Girls Torch Carriers Conference

The National Congress of Black Women – Kansas City is hosting the 6th Annual Women and Girls Torch Carriers Conference on Saturday, August 26th. The National Congress of Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, civic organization dedicated to the educational, political, economic and cultural development of African American Women and their families. One way they are accomplishing the mission is connecting women and girls to the world of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.)

The theme of the 6th Annual Women and Girls Torch Carriers Conference is ” S.T.E.M.: Breaking Boundaries. Let’s Empower, Uplift, Educate and Elevate Together”. Conference sessions and workshops include interactive topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Architecture, and more.
