The nonprofit Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA) is teaming up with the Greater Kansas City Building and Construction Trades Council (BCTC) to host a free community fishing event. Take Kids Fishing Day is this Saturday (Sept 9th), from 9am-1pm at Penn Valley Lake. Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes and other members of the NFL Players Association, along with local trade union members, will provide youth with instruction and assistance. Participating youth will also receive a free fishing rod and reel to continue to pursue fishing after the event.
