A local nonprofit partner of HUD seeks to close the homeownership gap between white and Black/Hispanic households in KC. Credit and Homeownership Empowerment Services (CHES Inc.), a 501c3 housing counseling agency, is hosting the “Let’s Make Home the Goal” event to help create equity regarding homeownership for Black and brown families.
This Saturday, September 16th, HUD-certified homeownership counselors, lenders, real estate agents, builders and more will take part in this event. “Let’s Make Home the Goal” is from 10:00 am to 2:00pm at the Plexpod Westport Commons. Ron Farmer, the Executive Director of CHES Inc., shares more.
