Suburban Balance is a Lee’s Summit based non-profit family organization that provides educational and cultural opportunities to suburban kids of color to help ensure they experience a well-balanced lifestyle while growing up in their community or attends schools that lack diversity.

But Suburban Balance is also politically engaged. Another goal of Suburban Balance is to educate on the importance of voting in all elections, increase voter registration and increase voter turnout at the polls. In fact, this Saturday, Suburban Balance is hosting the “Power Rally Coalition: Get Out to Vote” event at the Black Archives, in the historic 18th & Vine District, at 12 noon. Attendees will have the opportunity to register to vote and hear from two Lee’s Summit judicial candidates.

Because judges matter, too.

Listen in as LaShawn Walker, Founder, President and CEO of Suburban Balance, shares more.
