Helen Turley is participating this year in Dancing with the Stars KC. This is a fundraising event to help the students at Cristo Rey High School. The preparatory school provides work/study programs to low-income inner city minority families. The big event will be on April 27th at the Sheraton downtown. Helen’s goal is to raise 50k.
Helen has a big heart to help people, candid about her own backstory. As a young teenage girl who migrated from her small town in Guatemala, she overcame much adversity and even became an international bodybuilder competitor after surviving cancer twice. Helen always has gratitude for her accomplishments and wants to support Cristo Rey students achieve their dreams.
As she prepares for the Dancing with the Stars KC event, she’s hosting a fundraising event tomorrow night (March 14th) from 5:30 to 9 pm at Privee Restaurant, a Black-owned business. Listen in as Helen shares more.
