We all have moments or seasons of stress. But sometimes, it’s beyond that. Struggling with depression, anxiety, a lack of rest, major life transitions and other factors can cause us to reach a breaking point.

Sis, you’re not broke. Yet, you could be having a mental health breakdown, commonly known as a mental health crisis.

insignificant triggers it. However, the truth is there is always a thing behind the “thing” – if that makes sense. One day it seems the smallest issue sets us off but it goes beyond that. Carrying around emotional or mental baggage can manifest into an emotional and mental implosion. In all transparency, I know because it happened to me a few weeks ago. While away from work, I practiced coping mechanisms such as prayer, a therapy session, and exercise. I spent time doing what I enjoy and needed to. Then I discovered what else was missing.

Intentional rest.
