Sisters Living Beyond the Ribbon, Inc. is the only African-American breast cancer survivorship organization in the metro. Their goal is to educate and support the African-American community, while increasing local attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer brings to our families and neighborhoods.
Cakes for Cancer is a fundraiser for community support but also an event where uninsured or underinsured women can get a mammogram. After their mammogram, they will receive complimentary breakfast. There will also be a mini-health fair on site. Listen in as Kim Jones, founder of Sisters Living Beyond The Ribbon, shares more.
