South KC and Ruskin Heights residents this is for you! The Kansas City Health Department is hosting “Health on the Block”. It takes place this Saturday, October 4, at Ruskin High School, 10am – 2pm. This event will offer health screenings, childhood immunizations, lead exposure testing, sexual health screenings, assistance with water/gas/electric bills and free car seats (while supplies last). The day features a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with music, entertainment, and giveaways. Dr. Marvia Jones, Health Director for the KCMO Health Department, shares more.
