The Kansas City Health department has launched a new online hub that makes it easier for residents to find free, confidential mental health support.
The site, kcmo.gov/mentalhealth, brings together several digital tools that allow people to assess substance use habits, connect with 24/7 recovery support, find guidance for caregivers, and explore self-guided wellness resources. The launch follows a citywide mental health survey of nearly 650 residents that found many people are experiencing emotional distress, loneliness, and barriers to accessing care.
Dr. Marvia Jones, Director of the Kansas City Health Department, speaks on that and the Youth Summit, this Friday, March 13th.
