AFFORDABLE, ADVENTUROUS DINING
Kansas City Restaurant Week (KCRW) is for the people. Check out hot new concepts making waves in the culinary scene, visit buzzy spots that you’ve yet to try or enjoy tried-and-true favorites, all for either $15 or $35. No matter where you decide to dine, everyone wins thanks to special multicourse lunch and dinner menus at discounted prices.
Flexible pricing means diners don’t have to break the bank to sample creations from some of the best chefs in KC. Plus, with multiple courses, splurging on appetizers and desserts means “what next?” not “what if?”
TWO WEEKENDS, 10 DAYS
As one of the most popular annual events in the city, KCRW means big business (and big crowds) for area restaurants. The longer you wait to make reservations, the more difficult it becomes to get a table, especially on weekends and at buzzier restaurants.
Thankfully, “week” is defined a little loosely during KCRW, as the event takes place over the course of 10 days and two weekends. Keep these tips in mind when booking reservations:
- Book as early as possible!
- Dine during off-peak hours.
- Make reservations during the second weekend, which tends to see slightly smaller crowds.
- Try new restaurants and restaurants that you’ve never visited before.
COMMUNITY COMES FIRST
KCRW is about more than just incredible meals and incredible value. Participating restaurants pledge to donate 10 percent of sales from each meal to benefit an annual charity partner and two founding beneficiaries.
The 2020 Community Partner is The Don Bosco Centers. For 80 years, the organization has empowered individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and independence through a comprehensive network of services tailored to the needs of Kansas City’s ethnically rich and culturally diverse community.
KCRW’s founding beneficiaries include the Visit KC Foundation and the Greater KC Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
