Mayor’s Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony
November 27, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us in 2020 for an exciting virtual lighting ceremony where the 100-foot-tall Mayor’s Christmas Tree, one of the nation’s tallest, is the centerpiece for an illuminating holiday celebration.
Enjoy long-standing traditions that include the singing of Silent Night, presented this year by Calvin Arsenia, the countdown with Mayor Quinton Lucas as he prepares to flip the switch, and Joy to the World performed by Crown Brass. Plus, a special performance by Quixotic.
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree will shine brightly on Crown Center Square from November 27, 2020 through January 3, 2021.
The tree is a symbol of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, which is dedicated to assisting the city’s less fortunate. After the holidays, the wood from the Mayor’s Christmas Tree is made into commemorative ornaments, which are sold the following year to benefit the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund.
