The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) will host the 2018 Heart of America Hot Dog Festival, presented by Hy-Vee, Farmland and Pepsi, Saturday, August 4 near the 18th & Vine Historic District. The event features live entertainment, food, and more. Created by the NLBM in 2013, the Hot Dog Festival celebrates the historical connection between our national pastime and baseball fan’s favorite ballpark food; the hot dog. Proceeds benefit the NLBM.
Scheduled musical guests for the 2018 Festival include Funk/R&B legends CAMEO and THE SOS BAND, plus the R&B stylings of AVERY*SUNSHINE, jazz artists LIN ROUNTREE and MARCUS ANDERSON.
FESTIVAL GATES OPEN AT 2:00 pm. FIRST MUSICAL PERFORMANCE SCHEDULED FOR 3:00 pm.
